With green screen techniques these days, it is relatively simple to fake an interest

within a surreal environment if you realistically match the light. In fact, several

famous conceptual symbol professional photographers use green screen with celebrities and

models to achieve high-impact conceptual portraiture.

Also, finding unique ways to frame your subject offers up interesting

arrangement. You can frame your subject with a entry, window, twigs,

other people, or anything else. Get creative! Using frames within your image

visual art. For example, we often associate blue as a cool color and red as a

hot color. We also know that mixing different colors within a single image can

create tension or harmony.

■ Is there a specific time you must shoot to get a certain lighting

effect?

As with things in life, you live and you learn. You will figure out the questions

to ask, and there will automatically be unexpected complications or costs at some point.

With an increase of experience, you’ll learn to anticipate what could go wrong and take

steps to compensate. Remember that at some point, things should go wrong, but

that’s yet another chance to learn.

Props

An interesting chair, an old time, or a unique pair of glasses can invigorate an

entire shoot. When browsing ebay or a local antique shop, you will

come across gifts that will invigorate a shoot concept. Keep these props in

mind if you have to be able to fit a concept you have developed, or focus

an entire shoot around an interesting prop.

Clothing

A shirt, a dress, or any part of clothing may invigorate you. A long and flowing

dress may invigorate an elegant and ethereal shoot in a field at sun. A black

leather jacket may invigorate a Digital rebel Without a Cause-themed shoot. If you’re

working with a wardrobe stylist on a shoot, be sure to consult with him about

interesting or inspiring waste clothing he's access to. A number of my most

successful images have lead from my asking a stylist to tell me about any

outstanding waste clothing he is interested in working with.

By distinct yourself with your fashion

By distinct yourself with your fashion sparkle approach, people won’t seek

out your services for boring portraits. You won’t be expected to stick someone

in front of a background and snap a few static, formal portraits. Instead, they’ll

seek you out for striking and powerful imagery-imagery that says something

about them or stands apart as a piece of art. The image in Figure I. 2 is a piece of

art that tells a tale, captures a moment, and would look stunning as a huge

print on a wall. This image is what fashion sparkle is all about.
